Anyone know for sure if the base v6 will have track apps? I figured it should since it has the little LCD screen standard.

I thought that Track Apps are only available on the Eco-Boost and GT.

Just answered my own question. According to the features page on Fords' website, Track Apps is standard on all Mustang models. Sweetness :)

According to the Dealer Source Book, Track Apps are standard on every model EXCEPT the V6.

I had that in my head too. But Josh_101 is right, on the Ford website it says "Track Apps is now standard on all models." (see http://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/features/#page=Feature18 at the bottom of the page)

Maybe it was a last minute change made after the Dealer Source Book came out. Or the web site is wrong, which would not be surprising. Another mystery ...

Look at the two ORDER GUIDES ...

May order guide showed it as std. on base EB

July Order Guide showed it as std. on base V6
(and no longer listed on base EB)

July Order Guide is newer than the Source Book so this makes me pretty confident that it will be std. on the V6.

Maybe they had a change of heart. If it's true, that's great for V6 customers. I guess we'll see for sure soon...

It's even listed under the standard features list when building one. This is awesome considering that my auto 2013 base v6 with auto trans and the tech package was about the same 25.5 grand sticker price of a 2015 base v6 auto, yet the '15 has way way more features and other goodies built in minus the power drivers seat and fog lights. Or one could opt for the manual, get the 051A package, pay the same amount while having power drivers seat, fog lights and 18" wheels.

Anyone with a V6 confirm this yet? Does the V6 have track apps(launch control, line-lock) or not?

I haven't found it yet so no it does not. There is a timer for 0-60, 0-100 times but no launch control or line-lock.

Dammit Ford!
That almost seems like a deal breaker almost, or I could just do launch control the good'ole fashioned way.

Launch Control and Line Lock are GT only features, so you will not find these on your V6 or an EB.

Basic "Track Apps" is supposed to be std. on ALL 2015's.
