Just letting everyone know when getting after market wheels and you need another set of TPMS sensors for your mustang(if you leave original sensors in factory wheels)make sure you get genuine ford(quote VIN number)2015 mustang sensors.I made the mistake of using Ranger 433mhz sensors, they will not work! BTW the training tool I purchased from CJ Pony parts for the american 315mhz sensors works on our 433mhz Aussie cars! Just use the CJ Pony parts VIDEO on how to use the TPMS training tool.If you use ford service they plug into the port and do it differently.

I am struggling to get my sensors working and am thinking of getting a training tool as Ford dealer were not too interested. I have genuine sensors fitted but keep getting the alarm. Is the U.S. Training tool definitely ok for our cars?

Did you do the on-board reset from the dash? After I did the reset then the readings got picked up after a few kms.

Yeah, resetting from the dash originally showed pressures but after a few km the light would come back on. After Ford had a go at resetting I now have no pressures showing at all even after resetting from the dash. They could not get the car to recognise the first left front wheel in the reset. Possibly this is a faulty sensor but since still have stock wheels at home I could play around and trouble shoot for a faulty sensor etc if get myself a resetting tool.

Oh man I had so many drama's with this. I ended up putting my original sensors in and it worked a dream. My tyre shop bought new sensors for me but ford sent ranger ones. They look the same but have a square logo on them where as the original ford had a triangle. I think we saw the mhz were 433 when we compared them too. Plus ford themselves couldn't even detect the ranger sensors with their tool. just stick with the original sensors and you'll be fine

Thanks for the advice. I will take sensors out of my original wheels and hopefully get Ford Dealer to attempt another reset. Do you know if you have to replace the valve stems each time tyre is removed or can they be reused?

I think generally it's good practice to replace the valve stem if you had to take it completely out of the wheel

Phil when you had TPMS issues were you getting any pressure readings at all? I get readouts and then after a few km's I get the fault coming up on the dash. If I reset all seems to be ok for another 5 km or so until lfault comes up again.

Just wondering if Ford gave me the wrong sensors whether I would be getting any readout at all?
