Has anyone who has put new wheels on their car had issues with the new wheels not accepting the Ford TPMS system.

The guys fitting my wheels have just called and advised they will fit, but they will break when the car hits a bump etc, as the wheels I have purchased are not designed to have TPMS fitted.

Any help appreciated, as I am not really sure what the fitment problem is (having only discussed it over the phone with the workshop).

no problems here. I had the tyre shop use my existing TMPS on the new wheels and all good.
What shop did you go to

It turns out the issue is the direction relative to the wheel face of the hole for the tire valve, which the sensor is attached to inside the wheel. On wheels where the tpms sensor works the valve hole is drilled into the face of the wheel at between 45 and 90 degrees. On the wheels I purchased the valve hole is vertically in line with the face. This means the sensor won't correctly fit.

Pain in the arse, but I will find a solution.

Have a look on mars performance website, they are the mp-rh model in Matt black.

Love the look but was also after a wheel that I could use the oem tyres on and had a lower offset to fill the wheel wells out. The specs are 9x9.5 at et35 and I was going square setup.
