Thank you for the part number.

That part is available much cheaper online. A quick google search can find it.

http://www.factorymoparparts.com/f2gz1a189a.html

Less than $60 shipped for four of them. But probably not available until January. I ordered since I'll need them in the spring so we'll see.

Not to mention no tire shop could match the factory balance. .
That actually made me laugh out loud a little.........

Can you enlighten me on "factory balance" please?

Keep in mind, I was in the flat rock auto alliance plant Friday walking the assembly line. And the other lines in the plant.

Also, my best friend since I was 3years old. Is a Belletire store manager.

I've got my popcorn ready when ever you are ready to explain/teach!

That's very easy and has nothing what so ever to do with the machinery. Half the time you get wheels balanced at any given garage or tire shop the dummy doing it doesn't know how to use the equipment properly or just doesn't care to cause they're in a hurry or too lazy, especially with larger diameter wheels and adhesive weights.

I can't even count how many times I had to have rims rebalanced again after the tires where changed and end up with wheel weights that look like a Tetris game. Also most regular people (not on this forum) wouldn't even realize why their car's ride isn't as good as it was and just live with it.

Did you have to program them or reset them? They show pressures on the display?

(assuming you have a winter setup?)

When you get a car from the factory, the wheels are balanced. When you have wheels put on by a shop, the wheels can be unbalanced. Pretty easy.

I know I've gotten cars back from tire shops with lug nuts missing, or one side of the wheel 1/4" further from the body than the other side. Or leaks from improperly set beads, or tires on backwards.

So you can use the ones from 11-14 and it works?

Dealer got back to me after contacting Ford, gave me part# F2GZ1A189A.

unfortunately it is backordered until January '15. Google brings a few funny looking websites with it but I dont trust this just yet. I would rather take the plunge with the dealer the first time around

Those online ford parts websites are just dealerships that have an online presence. They sell parts in volume so sell at low cost. Where as most dealerships sell at high prices and do very little volume.

If you order that part number from an online oem parts dealership website you will be getting that part number. Whether that is the correct part number we'll have to wait and see.

Thats what i was thinking/hoping. But in the end the real question is it sending the same data and in the same format? Since the new one include the tire actual tire pressure, I'm reluctant to think so.

My order for that part number above (F2GZ1A189A) just got cancelled. Said part no longer available.

That might actually mean not available yet.
