Torque converter help 2B,2C,3B,3C?

Does anyone out there know the what the difference in the 2B vs 2C is? I have looked at a couple of sites and didn't see the difference. I assume that it has something to do with stall speed and lockup. I am trying to determine what will work best for my full weight GT that will eventually see a supercharger with 650-750 at the wheels. I am willing to sacrifice some ET for street ability. I don't drive the car that often but I still plan to take it on long road trips from time to time.

Pick up the phone and call them... You could wait around for internet info that may or may not be right, or call the actual manufacturer and get exact specs from them.

Not yet. I am not ready to buy yet. I have been seeing them for sale used and i was curious what the difference was between the 2b and 2c and so on.

the b will typically let you foot brake a little higher than the c version

let me know if you need any help, we are circle d's largest dealer for the 6r80

we also rebuild many of them with clutches and shafts

FWIW,

99% of the Supercharged S550's in Cali use the stock converter.
9.4's in 1/4 with Roush chargers on 17" mt et streets.

N/A cars are using 5c.
10.9's in 1/4 with complete gt350 setup 17" mt dr.

Cant remember the 60's at the track.

Primarily street duty.

also, when an N/A, aftermarket converter s550 comes in for a SC setup it also get a stock converter reinstalled.
