The trans scoop was available for the S197 MT-82 as well and people who actually tracked their cars noted they weren't good for anything other than collecting dirt and debris. Did nothing to actually cool the trans, something to do with air flow direction or something.

Probably best thing one can do to remove temps in that area is ditch the cats....

Yeah those things get hot just cruising down the street. Extended WOT usage would get those things cooking!
