Remove these? All my other vehicles have always had a bolt and washer, put a wrench on it, and boom.
How do I remove this type? I rather looks stupid asking than, break it and be S.O.L.
Thanks

Here's a thread on two types, one which uses your fingers/pliers, the other, an extension. Turn CCW or unscrew, like you would a traditional plug.

And a video of the entire process, which will highlight the plug. Go to 4:52.

I've read multiple comments relating to re-installing and being careful not to over-tighten.

Some buy an aftermarket plug for the first oil change, so as to better control the flow of oil as it drains.

I see you have a 2020, no tools required, Squeeze the tabs & rotate CCW, it will come out with 1/2 of a turn.

Be advised that 10qts of 5w flows FAST, I think most including me have been surprised with it. And not having the right size catch pan.

I am totally against the idea of the after-market plugs. Plastic pan, plastic threads, a metal afterthought plug.

Can be a point of failure at some time, stick with the factory part. When installing wipe the "O" ring with some oil as done with the filter.

I did purchase a spare in 2020 still in the wrapper.
