To paint or not to paint?

I love my window louvers, but very 50/50 on painting them body color or leave them matte black. Not sure if the Chrome surround works better with the matte, which matches the other matte trim, or with the body color.

What say you?

I'd if were me just leave em matte..if that's the color of material maybe keep em shined with a silicon spray
