Tire size?

I’m currently running the stock tires on my 2015 GT with the 50th anniv. wheels. Stock size is 255 40 R19. Will I have any rubbing if I order 275 40 R19s or should I stick with the 255s? The Michelin’s are custom order so the tire shop says I’m stuck with them if they don’t fit! I don’t want to waste that much money! Thanks!

You will be fine with a 275/40/19

I believe those wheels are only 8.5" wide. A 275/40 tire has a minimum recommended rim width of 9".
