Hi guys,

Looking to purchase a set of winter tires for my 2017 Ford Mustang GT, but I do not want to go out and buy a new set of wheels (yet). Currently the car is completely stock, sitting on the wheels that come with the black accent package. It's wrapped in the Pirelli All-Seasons - 255/40R19.

I'm looking for a set of tires that will fit on these wheels, but I'm having a hard time finding tires that fit that exact profile. Is there another size that I can go up or down that will fit the bill?

Any suggestions..?

Hi there, there was recently a similar thread over on the UK side
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2080924&postcount=70

Hopefully Cypress98 won't mind if I quote him

Hi,

I've now had a answer from Ford Customer Relationship Centre

Ford Mustang ‐ 2.3 Ecoboost
Michelin front & rear 255/40 R19 100V PILOT ALPIN PA4 XL 2554019VALPPA4XL
Continental front & rear 255/40 R19 100V Winter Contact TS 850 P XL 2554019VWTS850XL

Ford Mustang ‐ 5.0 GT
Michelin front 255/40 R19 100V PILOT ALPIN PA4 XL 2554019VALPPA4XL
Michelin rear 275/40 R19 105W PILOT ALPIN PA4 XL 2754019WPA4XL

So it looks OK to have lower speed rated winter tyres . . .

Regards

Paul;
As the 2.3 EcoBoost (and GT front's) have the same 255/40 R19 as your Accent Package's hopefully the Michelin/Continental tyres mentioned are available in the US

If you have the black accent wheels which are 19x8.5, you can buy 245/45/19 winter tires which are cheaper than 255/40/19. That's exactly what I did. There's barely any difference other than tire height which will make your speedometer read 1mph less than you're going. So if your speedometer says 60MPH, your actual speed would be 61MPH for example.

I went with 255/40-19 winters, Yokohama Ice Guards mounted on an extra set of PP wheels I had.
