Tire shortage?

Anyone else having a really hard time finding good street radials for a good price? I’m trying to get 305/35r19 tires for a 19x11 wheel. The only tire that’s in stock that I’ve found is a Mickey Thompson ET street S/S for $500/tire which is outrageous. I did find them for $450/tire and ordered it but I’m about to cancel and just wait this out to see if more tires come back in stock. Originally wanted Nitto NT555r2’s. I’m supercharging my 2021 GT hopefully next month if it comes in so I need 305’s

I see you are in New Jersey so I’m not sure about over there. I’m having no problem in SoCal getting anything I need. Just put Conti Extremes on the BMW and I just got Nitto’s a little while back for the Mustang. If the prices you’re talking about are real I would laugh at them and walk away.

I’m lucky here. I have a place that I’ve been dealing with for a while. They are online but they’re just a mile from me so I go to them personally. Meet and beat all prices. Hopefully you get what you’re looking for.

Rubber shortage. Nothing to do with covid or anything. Just the natural cycle between surplus or shortage most of the rubber comes from private farmers.

Mine are week 20 of 22’ and it just says sold and shipped by Amazon. Couldn’t find if it went through a different company.

Yeah but trying to find them in a 305/35r19 is next to impossible right now. I ended up getting the Mickey Thompson et street SS but paid $450 a tire. Ridiculous

I've been waiting for 4 or 5 months for nitto 555r2 in 345 30r19 and they have been on backorder according to discounttiredirect.com so I ended up buying 325 30 r 19 r88r and I'm mostly happy about the tire just not about the noise, also was more expensive then the wider nittos. On summit racing they are on backorder till later this month but the date keeps changing every week or so to later.

I've got a large pile of almost new Cup2 in 305, some PS4S and a pair or so of PSS.
And 1/2 dozen or so of Pirelli DH used race slicks but you'll need tire blankets to get them hot enough to work.
