My ecoboost PP Manual is going into the dealer today to be checked out. It has developed a knock at 2100 miles. The valve train tick has been there from day one and never goes away. The knock is something new and sounds different (deeper / louder). I will keep everyone posted on what the service department has to say.

Had my car into the dealer to take a look at the knock. This is what they were instructed to do. They had it all day yesterday and needed to keep it again today. I will update with their results. The mechanics agree with me that the sound is not valve train but coming from the bottom end. Looks like its a good thing that I have not modded yet, not sure what the gas engine performance modifications job aid is or what it can see exactly?

I took it in about 3 weeks ago for the check engine light which had the original P0300 and P0316 codes that were cleared. Shortly after I started to develop a knock at start up which started to get worse under load. I took it to the dealer to have it looked at. When I took it is this time there were no warnings or codes, just a loud knock.
