Ticking in HVAC vents

I have a sound that's much like the Coyote tick, but in my AC vents, only when it's really hot and humid. I don't get this sound when I'm using only heat or moderate AC use. I had it last year and it went away, it's returned with the hot weather we've been having in the north east. Has anyone else had this?

I Haven't had that. Have you tried jostling things about underneath the dash? See if it effects the noise?

Tap the blower motor?

See if you can effect the the noise somehow. Then track it down and shut it up

Yeah, I did try all of that, not to any great length where I've disassembled anything, yet!

Within 10k miles. I may pull it next time I hear the tick though....

A tick, you say? Maybe your AC has developed Tourette's syndrome.
Good news: If it had the tick last year, and hasn't blurted out profanity yet, it's probably not going to.
