Alright gang. Back and forth I go. I have a 98 cobra built with a D1SC. Ended up with 4.30 rear end to get some fun lower rpm torque. Vowed that the next car whenever that would be would be PD. Now my 2015 with 3.73 has been with me a year. This is a very good car. and good gear choice. I think I still want the whipple because that software is killer but let's review which kit gives best hp, torque below 3500 rpm, and lowest iat's all at 8 psi of boost. Reasonable levels of each to expect with the favored system?

If you want low rpm boost, then the whipple will do what you want

you should spend your money on switching your rear end to 3.15-3.31 vs the 3.73 because you will go slower with adding a blower sans a huge set of slicks or 29" radials

If you stick with the 3.73 go with a Vortech kit. The linear power they make will be better suited for the 3.73..

Hard to beat that 2.8 KB for that low end torque.

The stock whipple pulley with stock exhaust, can I hit 8 psi without going over?

We can do that for you no problem. We'll just have the kit sent with a slightly larger pulley so it will be in the boost range you'd like to stay in.

The car will run awesome.

We're Whipples largest US distributor so let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Jared

8psi? Best bang for the buck?

At 6995.00 (right now), our 2.8L Kenne Bell based system will net you around 640whp at 8psi. 50 state legal, and comes with everything you need to install in a weekend. Comes with tuning and fueling solution as well.

Best part is that a simple pulley change and retune later will net you all the way up to around 900whp with the same blower, and all other parts. No need to change anything except injectors/fueling and tuning.

Let me know if you're interested. We're running a sale (500.00 off) until the end of the month.

Thanks!
