The whipple wait

I am at 20 weeks. Ordered in July from Lethal Performance. Initial estimate was Nov 13th. Then pushed to Dec 16th. Lethal says they don’t have confirmation that is has shipped. Waiting on update.

I almost didn’t post this but my buddy ordered his from Lethal on Thanksgiving day. It shipped the next day and he received it yesterday, a week after ordering. He ordered the tune from Whipple and had it within 12 hours. He has no idea how lucky he was, though not lucky enough to win the full refund.

Reading this literally makes me want to cry. I have been waiting on my stage 2 kit since July …fml

last weeks update is we are back to about 20 weeks on gen 5 kits

they are doing everything they can, just keep getting smacked with supply chain issues.

So just FYI, my personal car is a 2018 with an early release 2018 kit. I’m installing a brand new kit on my buddy’s 2018. I just unboxed it all and started pre-assembly work and I just say Whipple has really improved this kit in the last 3 years. I’m a bit jealous. The tensioner bracket is vastly improved, it has bigger port injectors, more intercooler water outlets, better airbox design, redesigned intercooler reservoir, and the intercooler circuit has a better filler bottle, just to name a few.

I just wish they had updated the manual to reflect these changes. I wasted a decent amount of time trying to figure out what they were talking about each time the manual didn't match the parts.

Ordered August 10th with an estimated ship date of November 30th.

On the 30th, I was told it would be built the week of December 13th and ship within a few days.

Unfortunately it still hasn’t shipped, but the excitement is growing!!! Can’t wait to join the whipple club!

I wanted to put out there for everyone, if you order directly from whipple, you can pay in sections as you wait. I’m sure other suppliers will allow this as well. Spacing out over the wait time makes buying one of these kits a lot easier on the wallet!

Ok. Worth a try. Hopefully it’s not much longer. I ordered 2 Aug through one of our vendors here and it shipped last week.

Guys this is what it feels like when you do your first full tunnel blast after having a whipple and sound tube installed and cat deletes

easily in the top 5 purchases of my lifetime. Worth the wait 10x. Obviously if I had the option to not have to wait like 6 months I would say that is worth paying the full price for too.

I ordered my whipple last year November 05, 2021 and I was told it would be shipped between 12-14 weeks I called in December 27, 2021 and I was told that it was being built it is now January 26, 2022 and I still haven’t received it I’m hoping I get it before the middle of February I want to install my foster SC Tube
