Phenomenally bad - impressionistic and amateurish. That's me done with TG, unless they purge RR and the rest and stick with Matt, Chris H, and perhaps Sabine - so long as they give her real stuff to do

It's alright, viewing numbers show just how bad it's doing, Euro 2016 or not, the Iplayer/online results aren't as well weighted as they would have hoped for. Maybe Chris and Rory (Please don't use my cars shorthand colour name as his initials, it's rude!) can do their own show on dave, only need to make 5 episodes and will be re-run for eternity.

Someone remind me why Eddie is on the show again??????? Did they want to hit all demographics with:
Black (Rory), White (Others), Old (Eddie), Young(Rory), Ginger(Chris), Woman Driver (Sabine), Male Driver(Chris Harris)?



Also, on another note, does anyone not think that some of the shots of the team laughing are SOOOO FAKE? My girlfriend, Her dad and Mum both mentioned it as well when we were watching, just like directors were asking for chemistry, not getting it, and they're like, RIGHT LAUGH FOR US... ACT A BIT.

Well, I reckon they just dipped their toes in the water with the whole top gear thing. They must of gone along the lines of, lets get a series out, dont change much and see what happens.

I think it will come back better for the next series.

I wont lose any sleep if it doesn't come back at all though

I've been really trying to like it, but I'm struggling.

Rory's frankly pathetic 'review' last night tipped it for me. It was void of any interesting content and felt like Rory had some kind of vendetta against the car - the extras bit when he finished with saying its not a proper Mustang was laughable. He just came off as a massive tool - which was emphasised by Harris' visible disdain.

The next series needs more Matt, Chris Harris, and Sabine, less Chris Evans, and a full binning off of Eddie and Rory.

Notable that, despite mentioning several times this was the last episode of the series, no-one whatsoever made any mention (as they usually did on the old TG) of returning for the next series...

Question answered in my opinion!

Clarkson, Hamster and Captain Slow will have this one in the bag now thanks to this fiasco in casting... Reid and Evans, along with Jordan (nothing against latter whatsoever... just don't understand, like most, why he's there) need to be binned, Harris remains the best of the bunch (concise, factual, believable and objective), and I have to say (and I never thought I would) that Le Blanc has improved massively now he's moved into the swing of it and relaxed a bit - just him and Harris could be a good mix... and Sabine has potential and only lacks in that they haven't really given her anything proper to do that gives her a bit of independence (almost like she's been branded with the 'little woman' stick).

The BBC, with their far left politically correct ideals, totally f*cked up on this one and have lost one of their biggest worldwide sources of income, so I've no sympathy for them, nor regret should TG (as it now exists) never ever surface on the beeb again.

Well at the risk of being the odd one out, I don't mind the new series of Top Gear ..... a bit of tweaking and I'd watch a second series.
Yes, the Mustang review was utter bo:censored:ks and certainly won't do much for the sales figures - but first and foremost it's a light entertainment programme with each 'character' there to fulfill a different role, and Rory's function is (unfortunately for him) to talk complete s:censored:te ..... which he's managed to do admirably well in every single episode ..... what was it? - Focus RS rather than an Aventador (or some such crap) ..... come on! would anyone actually really say that and MEAN it if it wasn't in a script?! :lol:

I loved the chemistry between the old trio, their focus on not being a "pure" car show (all the funny and weird stuff they were doing with cars) and I'm pretty sure that's what kept it going like that for so long.

So far the new TG has been too many people, too little "real" enthusiasm and too little "show". They tried with Evans and LeBlanc in the first two episodes (?) but that dwindled out... and LeBlanc did seem to spruce up in the last two episodes (especially the last one).

All of which makes me believe the rumours surrounding Evans... not sure they'll fix this by next season - and not sure the show can survive another one like this to be honest. Especially not with the old trio coming back on this Fall.

Evans needed to go, he was generally hated by the viewing public. The old trio had something special and there is no formula for conjuring that up again no matter how hard the BBC may try.

Think they need to take a step back and make a show which is more focused on cars and less on random celebs & pointless challenges. As others have said they have the foundation of a good team in Sabine, Harris and Le Blac, they should cut the deadwood and try to take the show in a new direction.
