But the burning question is... should the so named 'Top Gear Effect', along with all the other positive reviews to date and yet to follow, dispel such myths and lead to a sudden surge in interest and subsequent sales, our cherished possessions (bearing in mind the very realistic pricing of the Mustang) could just become as commonplace as the BMW 3 Series (and years ago when the streets were littered with XR3/XR3i's nobody thought that the then premium BMW 3 Series would ever end up the same and become such an everyman car)... oh Christ!... that's 2 times I've mentioned the words 'BMW 3 Series'... $hit... 3 times (this is like saying 'Macbeth' to an actor) :barf: !The taster for the Mustang opinion that we saw in TG Extra was that the Mustang is a very desirable car and as it was going to be an ultimate car purchase in the same elevations of a Ferrari LaFerrari it is maybe beyond the reach of ordinary mortals but perhaps the actual Mustang review will dispel that myth and show the Mustang as a very accessible and affordable car - thus the Top Gear Effect could be to massively increase public awareness, perception and demand.
I want the Mustang to be a success for Ford... but not too much!
