yeah, its a total mixed bag wtih some people being extremely happy and getting treated like gold, and others almost feeling like they are a burden for asking ford to build them a car they are paying for.
Nicely put sammyz ... you've nailed the "Ford Australia Mustang Experience" in one sentence

Righto, an update for those in similar circumstances.

The latest from Deysha is that my car's build week is 25th January 2016.

That's exactly 7 weeks behind previous scheduled build date - and my Etis still shows 30.11.0002.

You have every right to feel shafted, mate.

I remember that our builds were at one stage on track to be in the same week.

Wonder what the hell happened with that.

It gets better.

FordOz on FB have told me 22nd Feb build date, which is exactly 11 weeks behind original build date estimate.

"We must apologise as all orders at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant have slipped behind due to demand for the V8's and the uprecedented popularity in overseas markets"

So apparently the V8 engine is the bottleneck, which is hard to believe considering the guys in the USA still have normal turn around times.

What a mess, SMH.

There has to be more to it than that as my car was scheduled to be built after yours (and is a V8 also) and was actually built on the 15/12/15. Etis has fully updated so I believe that means the car does actually exist and must now be on it's way to Baltimore. Why delay some cars but not others after a certain date is very strange and shows that there is something that we are not being told.

So there are delays for building them and delays on getting them to people once they're built and still Ford Australia says nothing to anyone.

Things aren't looking promising for any of the later orders either I guess. I'm wondering if the 12ish months on orders after March will soon jump to 15+

Hi mate deysha sent me this today I wanted to show you this because it may apply to your car aswell

Welcome and thank you for reaching out to me. I checked on your order and it was just released from the plant on Friday. It’ll now be put out to await shipment in the next week or so. Then it’ll load onto a rail car and ship to the port in Baltimore where it’ll wait to ship out to Australia. You’re welcome to check back next week for more info. Have a nice day!

I see you state in your previous post "The latest from Deysha is that my car's build week is 25th January 2016". That is about a 4 weeks before the Ford OZ date. Coincidentally Ford Oz state 60 day turnaround and we talk 90 days here. It looks like the Ford OZ date is basically at the wharf whereas Deyshas is at the plant.....maybe.

I am hopeful Deysha comes back 30 days earlier with mine

They both talk 'build schedule' or 'build week', so I'm assuming that means the approximate week when the build will be started.

Originally my build week was 7/12/15 with arrival at Baltimore on 25/12/15.

I would be taking anything that Ford Australia tell you with a grain of salt TBH - my thoughts go back to the unsolicited phone call I received when they told me that my build date was (the Etis placeholder date) of 30/11.

Deysha has always been spot on with my schedule/build information. Hopefully her Baltimore ETA is also pretty close to the mark.

Let's hope that's the case. If my build schedule has indeed blown out to February then i'll be ringing Ford in the new year to tell them they have indeed ruined Christmas.

Looks like there were a few of you early March orders that got built this side of new years, congrats on winning that lottery
