How do you reset "auto" mode in our temp climate control? Before you say anything, no, pressing the auto button off and on again doesn't fix it.

by reset you mean sync the temps between driver/passenger? or bring the auto temp back to your desired setting?

To sync the temps you have to go the climate control screen on the display and press the little sync button.

If you are referencing the temperature change...what happens to me, sometimes, is that I will hit the Max A/C button, then accidentally hit the temp adjust instead of just clicking "Auto". So my Auto temp is now set to low at which point have to click it back up to 72 or wherever I'm feeling it.

Yeah, I need to sync everything back up. If I press the a/c button to turn it off, then turn the temp down to 70 degrees, the a/c stays off. I assume this means it needs to sync back up to auto.

So where you say the A/C button you mean the "soft" button in the climate menu on the touchscreen right? So I'm guessing your scenario goes something like this: your going down the highway with then cooling set to auto, then you get a bit chilly so you hit the soft a/c button to turn it off. But then when you turn the temp down it doesn't start getting cold again?

If this is about right I can explain it, when. You turn the A/C off you are technically putting the climate control into manual mode. You may have noticed on the touchscreen though that where the fan speed is it still says auto, that is because there is a separate auto/manual fan speed control that is within the overall auto/manual climate control. Since you have manually turned off the A/C (which is the compressor basically) the car does not automatically turn it back on when you turn the temp down unless you are back in auto mode or have turned the A/C button back on.

So basically you have to either turn the a/c back on or put it back in full auto mode to get it to cool down.

[Rant] My job is HVAC controls (for buildings) but I feel like I appreciate the climate control functionality in cars more than 99% of people. I am talking about the automatic mode control scheme not just the ability of it to warm/cool our bums. One of the stupider things in life that I get peeved by is when people with a car that has nice climate control with an "auto" mode never use it and just use the manual settings all the time. (My dad only will ever use manual mode in my mom's CR-V and I have almost had him raise his voice at me in the car because I kept putting it to auto mode trying to explain it to him. Haha) Yes I know there are instances where manual climate control settings may be necessary, or better for performance, or just preferable but these are far and few between IMO. Necessary in certain weather, better for performance if you want to keep the compressor off to maximize power, and preferable for high maintenance people. [/Rant]
That's not directed at you EBM or anyone else specifically just felt like a good time to rant about that while on the subject of a/c

Fun fact: the compressor (aka air conditioning) should be on when trying to de-fog the inside of your car ( with recirculation on )regardless of temperatures. I have seen so many people in various cars during the fall/winter time blast the windshield defroster on the highest heat but turn the A/C button off. The a/c should be on because it will remove the moisture from the air instead of just heating up your glass. idk about other people but I hate sitting in a stifling hot car because someone is just blasting the heat to try and get all their windows to de-fog.

TL;DR if I understand, yes you either have to sync back to auto using the hardware auto button or go into the touchscreen menu and turn a/c back on if you want to blow cold air again on a hot summer day.

Beautiful car that you have, did you manage to combine the Black Accent Package or was that a DIY job on the "5.0 badge?

It really bothered me that I couldn't order both the Black Accent and Performance Pack together.
Purchased 5.0 badges from LMR and did it myself. Very easy to do with some heat/fishning line.

Wth is the noise I hear after I park the car and begin walking away. It's like an electric latch or something is engaging under the hood. Is it an engine lock?? o_O

Pretty sure it's the steering column lock engaging.

Can I change driving modes while the car is in motion without damaging anything? For example, can I change from 'normal' to 'sport+' while driving?

This didn't happen on my eco stang but it happens on my gt that came with the security package. It is some type of security locking but I'm not sure exactly what is locking.

Thanks. I always forget until I'm going down the road. I'm assuming Ford would include a lockout if there was any problem doing it, but you never know.
