I would say he is correct when saying they don't know the production schedule and its not worth it to them to make any commitments or promises. I placed my order already and have the email from the regional rep also stating things are "pending", nothing firm, as it doesnt seem like its just a first come first system with a definitive start time. I'm just assuming the car will come in the oct-dec time frame. :shrug:i didnt place any orders as of yet. I simply called to get some information down. Im still on the fense of which color to go with. This will be a 2016 model he said and will have no idea WHATSOEVER when the car will begin the build process, shipped, Zilch! I assumed Winter time....he said i have no idea, no one actually knows ....but i doubt it. Maybe longer. And and its $3k over MSRP.
The local Stealerships in the area arent getting any and again have no idea what the hell is going on and get confused betweek the 350 and GT500. Dumb.
It is a Legit R allocation, and the $3k isnt so bad. But in my eyes, paying nearly $70k for a mustang is a bit much...especially with all the poor body panel alignments, rattling in the interior many people complain about... Having the AC would be nice..gets hot here in NY but i would have to get the whole package...and i dont want or need the radio, dont need a rear view camera, voice activation crap. Just build me a car with what i want! simple...i have money and Ford just build it.49995 is the base price after gas guzzler tax and destination (again, perhaps take a quick peak the order form yourself)
And they always say its a non-refundable deposit, but they are 100% refundable.
Honestly, if it is a legit R allocation, 3k over sticker isnt terrible due to so few being built, it really depends on what you want and when.
