So i noticed at the track a couple weeks ago when a 2018 GT PP2 and a 2017 GT were parked side by side that the intake on the 2018 is massive compared to the 15-17 GT's. So this got me thinking...what if you put a 18+ intake on a 15-17 GT, would there be any performance gains? So I ordered one up and started comparing the intake systems side by side. ***Please note this is just measurements and there has been no dyno/drive testing, and I'm not claiming that there will be a performance gain just a comparison! ** Once it gets back down below 100 and hades everyday I plan on doing some dyno testing between the to, and also the addition of a Mishimoto intake tub.
Measurements...
2015-2017 GT Intake System
-Airbox inlet to intake 95mm
-Intake tube @ airbox 96mm
-Intake @ middle/belly 86mm
-Intake @ TB 87mm
2018+ GT Intake System
-Airbox inlet to intake 108mm +13mm
-Intake tube @ airbox 109mm +14mm
-Intake @ middle/belly 108mm +22mm
-Intake @ TB 90mm +3mm
The lower portion of the box and cold air inlet stay the same. Seems to be made of a better harder material though on the 2018+.
