So i noticed at the track a couple weeks ago when a 2018 GT PP2 and a 2017 GT were parked side by side that the intake on the 2018 is massive compared to the 15-17 GT's. So this got me thinking...what if you put a 18+ intake on a 15-17 GT, would there be any performance gains? So I ordered one up and started comparing the intake systems side by side. ***Please note this is just measurements and there has been no dyno/drive testing, and I'm not claiming that there will be a performance gain just a comparison! ** Once it gets back down below 100 and hades everyday I plan on doing some dyno testing between the to, and also the addition of a Mishimoto intake tub.

Measurements...

2015-2017 GT Intake System
-Airbox inlet to intake 95mm
-Intake tube @ airbox 96mm
-Intake @ middle/belly 86mm
-Intake @ TB 87mm

2018+ GT Intake System
-Airbox inlet to intake 108mm +13mm
-Intake tube @ airbox 109mm +14mm
-Intake @ middle/belly 108mm +22mm
-Intake @ TB 90mm +3mm

The lower portion of the box and cold air inlet stay the same. Seems to be made of a better harder material though on the 2018+.

108 mm is larger than the GT350 CAI and almost as large as the JLT. Worth a try with a tune for the 108 mm MAF.

I've been eyeballing these myself, actually. I plan to ditch my open CAI.

It took some digging. No one really wants to sell them yet. It may take a year or so before they pop up on eBay, etc. one would be about $160 from the dealer.

What track in town? I'm planning on getting out to WHP once the extreme heat and monsoons pass but didn't realize Coyotes were braving the heat

I get around some, not much this year. But all the WHP tracks, AMP, Chuckwalla, INDE, Fontana, Las Vegas

Nice find, would be a great basic upgrade for a daily driver.

Sounds like a cool option. I guess we gotta wait till November for some results since you’re in Arizona? Lol

It would be nice if this worked. I have a JLT sitting in my garage that I am highly doubting I will install.
