Some of these shots are so amazing, I don't even want to post my own stuff lol.
I'm usually more for raw, and more natural looking pictures, but you guys talking about lighting and layering made me want to try new things out.

I take ton of pics but I am a total amateur. I love particular angles on this car so that is what I tend to want to shoot.

All of this is with a Canon T1i and most with a 50mm 1.8

Thanks! If not captured right it looks dull so I know what you mean. I like using the organic lighting of the environment to make it pop and show its depth. Too many people rely on editing software IMO. Post-processing is easy to learn and can cover up a lot of mistakes. I don't mess with much other than WB(if it doesn't look right to me), and the lighting. Other than that I don't really spend more than a couple minutes on each picture.

I went out with a friend of mine last night on a whim. It's been a while since I have really done much real shooting, so I am a bit crusty. I did learn that my monitor at home is a lot brighter than it should be, so these are all dark. I ordered a color calibrator this morning.

From the looks of things here, I wouldn't be surprised if the s550 becomes the most photographed generation of mustang ever! And with good reason! Here's a couple crap shots of mine (until I find and unpack my dlsr)
