To clean mine I get a bucket large enough to submerge the filter and fill it with warm tap water. Then I pour in about a half a cup of Simple Green, 3 capfuls of Dawn. I shake out the loose dirt first ....... you could also tap it gently a few times then submerge the filter and swirl it in the mixture for about 20 seconds. Let it sit for an hour then re-swirl before removing, I rinse with a nozzle-less garden hose inside out, shake off the excess water and let dry in the sun on my backyard deck. When it drys, the filter looks brand new. I use this process when I do my yardwork on the weekends ..... kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak. Some peeps use a hair dryer after the wash, but the sun works great for me. If you have to drive the car just put the paper filter back on temporarily.
I have not had to clean mine yet, but this is my plan, just dawn and water and air dry

Thanks for the part number! I just just ordered a red one also!
Received it yesterday, just installed it. Thanks Lightrules for letting us know a red air filter existed!

Lightrules, where did you find a red one for $68 ? Amazon still lists the blue one for $61 but prices the red at $82. Seems silly they would charge more for the color.

Unless I missed something, I haven't heard anyone mention other filter choices. JLT has some very nice stock replacement filter choices made by S&B filters. I run the powerstack white dry air filter. I also have a black JLT pre-filter to add some additional protection and to hide the filter in the engine compartment.

Change you search for a 2018 or 2019. If it fits those it will fit yours. Nothing has changed.

This is a great idea - I will try next time!

You should put one of these in the bottom of the bucket. I use them when I wash cars. You’d be amazed the a amount of debris and sediment settles and this thing will trap, rather than re-swirl back up.

8 mm sounds about right. I only put 20 miles on the car before I stored it with the OEM filter so I don’t think I’ll be able to tell the difference in pedal response. But I do remember hearing the whooshing sound of the intake sucking in the air. Looking forward to hearing more of that.

Check Adams polishes website. It’s a dirt guard for the bottom of your buckets when you’re washing your car.
