Finally bought me a MGW shifter this morning! After dealing with shifter issue after shifter issue and breaking pieces, I finally bit the bullet and went with the one thing that eliminates all my problems.

And while I'm here, enjoy some pics from Cars and Coffee this weekend

A while ago I had purchased some cheapo Ebay blue LED dome lights for a few bucks. They ended up being two different shades of blue and really weak. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was one of those things that bugged the crap out of me everytime I saw it.

I finally switched over to Diode Dynamics blue LEDs, and the difference is like night and day. Crisp, clear, and POWERFUL light. I'm impressed! Next on the agenda as far as lights go are Diode's DRL LED boards and floor LED strips.

Decided to start tackling something today that's been bugging me for a while. I never like the way the openings in the grill were in a "trapezoid" shape. I wanted the opening in the honeycomb to be a rectangle. It's nothing huge, just an OCD thing on my end.

I also wanted to open up a few more holes on the driver's side where the duct for my CAI sits. Again, not really looking for any sort of performance gains....it's more just getting the grill the way I want it to look.

I busted out my Dremel and before the battery died (I need a spare!), I manage to get about halfway finished. I left it unsanded since I'm going to be pulling the bumper off in a few weeks when I install my Diode DRL LED boards, so I figure I'll just sand them down when I have the bumper off.

In the meantime, I'm pleased with how it looks and am looking forward to finishing it up when my Dremel recharges.

Yeah, I've always thought those openings were a bit small myself. Have you thought about doing a custom grill?

Thanks dude!

Absolutely. There's no question that I will replace the grill in the future, which is why I have no issues hacking into this one, lol. Once I get the bumper off and get it sanded, you'll never know I drilled at all

Got one really shitty, blurry pic (I was in a hurry). Gives an idea of how the finished grill looks. So far so good!

Much sharper picture from earlier today. Definitely pleased with the outcome (picture brightened significantly to see the grill opening better).

Finally got this bad boy in today. Now I just need to find a day to install it. Between getting my house ready to sell in a week and being a work from home dad to two toddlers, I'm not entirely sure when I'll have the time.
