Yes I'm fully aware of that fact, I was calling them all last may and quickly gave up when 20k+ was the norm and just went out of state. Just found it funny they called me 10 months later peddling the same crap, when they were super smug about it when I first contacted them, claiming they were going to get 20k no problem

Man some dealers are nuts. I just got a call from Frontier Ford, I guess I have them my info way back in late may. Well they have a black one on the lot, 77,800. Must not be moving if they are calling a guy 10 months later lol.

I told him I already got one out of state sticker and he said I got "a great great deal".
Beyond the ADM, there's nothing nuts about what happened here. That car just arrived at Frontier, and the salesman was just contacting the people on his list who had indicated interest in a GT 350. That's just being a good salesperson, and I'll bet the car won't be there in a couple of weeks.

My point was just how odd it is that the dealers aren't aware like you and me are. When you can go on eBay and find 30+ cars at $10K over BIN you'd think they would at least adjust to current market asking price.

Shipping costs ~ $1K and for the typical GT350 buyer I'm pretty sure they will (or already have) go that route before paying $10K more in state.

I agree with both those comments, was simply noting how out of touch they are with the market if they are calling on people who showed interest 10 months ago, grasping for straws at this point.

Despite being in the middle of the silicon valley, they wont be getting 20k over. 5-10k over maybe, but asking any more than that is delusional.

Being a Northern CA guy, I guess I got lucky getting mine at my price here in northern CA. I still see the CA sticker horror.

Koons Ford of Baltimore has three regular GT350s for $15k over. Including my order because the car ain't worth a dime over MSRP.

The market would disagree with this sentiment.
I don't have money to waste on instant depreciation, never have and never will. That's a fools game.

It only depreciates if you're planning to sell it? If you intend on keeping and enjoying for years to come, no worries about depreciation.
I'd venture to say my 15 GT/PP has depreciated more with no ADM than my 350 with one?

Everyone always has the best intentions of keeping a car forever. I said that when I bought my 2010 GT500 but things change. Trust me I wish I had a dollar for every person that says I plan to keep my Mustang forever. Only to be on the forums months or a couple years later complaining about resale value of their special edition Mustang.

I get your point but no need to be incendiary.

I don't plan on paying ADM either but with very few exceptions all cars depreciate the instant your drive it off the lot. Each person's tolerance is just different. I guarantee you that a GT350 will depreciate less than nearly every other $60K car sold - even considering a small ADM.

Now, when you can pay a $5K ADM out of state vs $15K locally that seems like a waste of money to me but to some people $10K is a drop in the bucket. I guess my bucket is much smaller than theirs.

Coming from someone who doesn't own one I guess I can't fault you too much...but this car is worth over the "Suggested Retail Price." Not to say I support ADM, but most if not ALL of the buyers who have paid an ADM are happier to have paid and gotten the car than not.

And KBB is not real life, but KBB trade value on my car is over $70k...so for those that plan to keep the car even a few years - not a daily driven machine - will not likely lose much.

All opinionated of course, but as long as you enjoy your GT =)
