It appears that there are a couple of people here who don't understand specialty insurance products. With agreed value insurance, you could state the value of your car at $100,000, and that's what the insurance company would pay if you totaled it. The downside for the policyholder is that the premiums are much higher, which is, of course, the upside for the insurance company.
