Slim to none....I am on 5 different car forums and have not seen any destructive crap other than these 2. The one brother also has a GT500 that has had issues as well.
At least the joint head didn't fall under the seat this time

This is the brother of the guy whose car caught fire. I shit you not!!

He said he took off from a stop sign and it broke like that. Said Ford is covering it under warranty.
Right just broke. I doubt that. These children, yes anyone who breaks cars purposely and post it on the internet are immature children, don't deserve these cars their parents probably bought them.

Boy this took me back. My first car when I was 16 was a 1985 Ford Escort GT 5 speed. I was driving a girl home that I had a huge crush on right after I got it and the shifter literally cracked in two shifting from 2nd to third. Had to get her home and the car home in 2nd gear. It was over 25 years ago and it still haunts me.
Similar situation for me, my then new 1988 GT Vert had a habit of blowing up 3rd gear in the T5. The second time it happened to me I was with a girl that wanted me to "go fast". Ended up driving 20 miles home with marbles in the gearbox and no 3rd gear. By the time I got home 2nd was shot too. What a great time that was... ;)

At least the joint head didn't fall under the seat this time

Reminds me on my Ford Taunus, 1982 model, driving home from a vacation in Germany. I had to shift down from 4th to 3rd gear, because of traffic on the HWY. "Bing" - I had the shift stick in my hand. The last 400 miles I had to shift with a screw driver. A mechanic later said it is common on a Ford to lose the screw what holds the shift stick in place on a Ford Taunus.

This picture looks familiar to me! :D
...had the gearshift lever break right under the gearshift knob on my old 77 Lincoln Mercury Capri from just plain metal fatigue but THIS!!!

If your car breaks you're not gonna share anything? My experience has been utter shit so far so I'd certainly continue sharing the garbage service I receive. If it gets better I'll share that as well, doesn't seem likely at this point.

The difference is these 2 children purposely broke their cars and the blamed Ford; this guy who clearly did something to that gearbox, and the dumba** brother who's seat caught on fire (allegedly).

No way that's a coincidence.

LOL! I know. It is crazy. I got a brand new 1991 LX 5.0 when I was 19. I paid for the car and my parents covered the insurance. I have never broken any of my cars since I started driving at the age of 16. I respect my belongings.
