TH400. What do I need?

I have a 17 s550 with MT82 in it currently. To give you background info on the car it’s a built motor d1x making close to if not more than 4 digits.

I have a MT82 in it right now but have a th400 in my garage.

what all do I need to build This th400 and keep it happy?

Not really interested in buying a kit from JPC because I don’t have 8 grand to drop on one right away. Rather buy the required parts little by little.

i was told one of the most important things to buy to keep it happy is a trans cooler.
I plan on driving the car around town and occasional trips no more than 100 miles. I plan on dig racing and roll racing with it as well so I would like an overdrive if possible.

A TH400 is a 3 speed transmission with no overdrive. You need a different transmission or a gear vendors unit if you want overdrive.

Th400s are strong AF,its a 3 speed,great for drag racing ...
They dont need much to live as far as mods but I have no idea how you would mount it up

The TH400 is a great trans. Virtually indestructible with the above parts.
