Hey everyone-
Since the regional forum isn't very active for my area, thought I'd post here instead.
I've been wanting to go FI for awhile now, and now that Edelbrock's new modular inlet is available for 15-17 cars that's really been pulling me in. However, I'm a turbo guy at heart, so I've also been eyeing the Hellion kits. My question is: is there anyone around the Phoenix/Scottsdale area that has either an Edelbrock 2650, Whipple Gen3, or a Hellion TT kit on their car (preferably a 15-17) and is willing to give me a test ride? I can supply food or beer for whoever's interested.
I know they're all gonna have pros and cons, but this isn't a discussion thread on which one is the best. Just looking for some first hand experience with these options.
Thanks in advance!

There are some Procharged cars in our area. This is the route I am likely going as well. A very knowledgeable member in our area @Chris Barnes has gone through some renditions of his P1x stage 2 with meth and most recently without. He may be able to share some specifics with you.

I am not sure I have come across any Whipples or twins in the valley. A few Roushes but not sure they are on here.

As far as our local section, it goes dead for a while then is active. Just depends.

Damn not picking the best time to move out here! But as long as you get through the harsh months the rest of the year is amazing!

If I'm back home anytime soon I will definitely take you up on that, I was born in OC and my parents still live there.

I was about to say, it'll be a little toasty in August. But night time right now is just about perfect for me.

I'm currently working on a re-tune with the GT350 charge pipe (removed MAF from intercooler), and adding a 2nd methanol nozzle. Once I get it buttoned up you are welcome to come by and go for a ride. From your sig you are a 15-17 5 speed car, so for sure a Whipple would be a great option for you compared to the Procharger in my opinion.

Man I love so cal. Grew up spending summers in Carlsbad/San Diego and in between. Would live there in a minute if could ever afford it lol.

But that is from a visitors standpoint. Maybe its different being there full time. Though pretty sure I would get ticketed there for my current exhaust

Yeah Procharger isn't really on my list unfortunately. I know they make an awesome system, but it's not really what I'm looking for. This will forever be a street car, so 700whp is my goal, especially as a daily. In my opinion the Edelbrock is the best looking whilst sitting inside the engine bay. I know its a stupid reason, but I just don't like the way the Gen3 Whipples look in there... I've thought about trying to put a Gen5 on, but haven't read too much about it.

As someone who grew up there, its a pain in the ass... It'd be nice to go back, but Arizona is better for the time being imo.

Lmfao :cwl::cwl:. The exhaust law isnt as bad as people make it out to be. As long as you arent driving in the top of first gear on the street you should be fine. And yes visiting here is a completely different than living here. The cost of living is absurd compared to what you can get in other states. Arizona is light years ahead of Cali when it comes to development etc. A perfect example is how well the freeways are paved there and how wide they are etc. Like the freeway in Phoenix AZ 202 Loop or whatever its called.

Anyways, how are the exhaust laws over there? Can I get away with no cats on my roush axle backs and x pipe setuo?

202 is actually expanding. For a great wide open freeway drive if you are ever on the west side check out loop 303. Super wide and almost 0 traffic.

No noise laws here except for one track (road course only). I have ARH LTH into Corsa Xtreme and have 0 issues even before I added some Vibrant resonators on, but that was more for the friendly neighbor law lol and to just tone it down a bit.

Yeah pretty much from the 10 in buckeye through the entire valley is newer road, which is great. But there definitely are some areas that have shitty road. But I fear traffic is getting worse as people move here from Cali, cause these roads aren't built to handle traffic like SoCal is.
Exhaust laws are basically non existent haha. As long as you don't piss off your neighbors, you're fine. My buddy has a straightpiped 4.6 and has never had an issue.

If its thurs-sat night they may just because they're DUI fishing down there, but not for an actual noise infraction.
