I have a base GT manual so I don't know if this is true for ever trim level but I have been able to activate the axle and transmission temps to the virtual gauges in Forscan. Unfortunately, there are seemingly no sensors hooked up.

Is this something that can be added without too much trouble?

Have to look and see if your car has the wiring harness for the sensors.

Can I ask what addresses these are

I found it through the IPC Module Configuration tool so I didn't use the address. It would take some work to go back and forth to see what changed..

Both the Trans temp and the axle temp came up as "--" on the screen and the needle stays bottomed out in gauge mode so I assume this means the sensors are just not there. This is likely something that comes with a towing package for F150s? I'm just wondering how hard it would be to add that OEM sensor. If physical ports are already there and the software seems to be ready to go, it might be a nice/easy mod.

The performance pack mustangs came with the sensors. I have heard some people have the wiring on their base model cars. Just have to look and see if yours does. Mine doesn't.

If you do have the plugs you can use the drain plug hole for the diff sensor. You would need to install a bung in the trans pan.

My car has the trans temp readout in the dash under gauge mode, I think yours should also

My ex 2018 F-150 Platinum did that until temp was above a certain amount (don't remember if 120 or 140F), so dashes alone are not an indication of no sensors. Better to check out visually. The diff one is right next to the drain plug (to the left, when seen from behind), so easily visible.

On the differentials, yes. On transmission, only if auto. My manual MT-82 D4 does not have one, unfortunately.
