Hey everyone, sorry if this is a dumb question, but a bit new to all the tech options on S550. Have you all ever seen this, is it aftermarket or a unique factory option? The window sticker lists Shaker Pro Audio, but I'm assuming this head unit

is aftermarket. I wonder how reliable this would be. Welcome your thoughts. Thanks!

Definitely aftermarket.
I personally would be very concerned about what all was altered to allow this to function and whether or not all of the features that should work do. I'd also be concerned about future repairs, if needed, because so very many of the car's features and functions run through the "Sync" system.
If this is your car, I'll wish you luck.
If it's one you're considering buying, let would look elsewhere. Who knows what else, good or bad, was done and how well?
There are plenty of good, unmolested Mustangs out there.

Very helpful thanks. Not my car, just one I saw online and was considering looking at it, but had the same concerns you referenced, but wanted to confirm first since I'm fairly new to mustangs. Thanks again!

I was looking at these, just never pulled the trigger. There are different variants of this type of head unit one allows you to keep your toggle switches another relocates them to the side of head unit. Pretty cool in my opinion, especially if you have a base radio.

They are really not that hard to install...just a few connectors. It's around 1200 for the touchscreen new so if everything looks ok and works like it should, you shouldn't have any issues. If I had the little 4" screen, I'd definitely do it!

It's a "Tesla Style" headunit.
Stay away from the car, if you can, buy one that is OEM till the last bolt.
