Looking for some tips and tricks on keeping the taillights in good shape. The plastic seems to be of the fart and scratch type. There were a couple specs of crud on one or my lenses, so I gently went to pick it off and ended up scratching the plastic. The black spaces between the tri-bars also have lots of micro-scratches.

Never had taillights so fragile. But that seems to be the common trend on anything body or interior related on this car.....fragile.

I had mine spray tinted by a paint shop, they are not scratch proof but have a nice coating of clear coat on them and I have no issues with scratches.

Put a good sealant/wax over them just as you would the body of the car and it'll keep crap like tar/sap from sticking to them.

I too am looking for a good polycarbonate fine scratch polish for the tailights and black molding in between. Lots of hairline scratches that are driving me nuts. I use the two bucket method, and dry with a clean absorber chamois. I have some Chemical guys Wac 111 extreme depth liquid carnuba cream wax and Xseal I use on the paint would that be safe to use on the lens and black surround?

This is right-on. All shiny or clear plastics should be treated like your paint.
