My '17 SYNC3 confuses me. The apps button steers me toward plugging in iOS devices, then promptly CarPlay takes over. Question is, when I press the Apps soft button I am told to connect via USB, but this pic shows otherwise. Of course you cannot see the cable, but when I plug in the apps button is replaced with a CarPlay button. So could this be a <'17 SYNC3 that hasn't been updated with CarPlay yet? Even the FordPass iOS app catches itself in a loop. Says plug into USB and then press apps, but that button is only present until I plug in. So WTF?
I see all these pictures on the web with people having a ton of different apps on screen but I have only a few (Spotify, iHeart, Pandora).
