SYNC Sound & Phone Config

So I was doing some thinking...currently my SYNC settings for sound is bass all the way, but I use Spotify on my phone with bass on and the music quality is on "extreme quality".

I was wondering, isn't this counter intuitive? Should I really be having bass on, on all configurations? Whats your setup?

turn the bass and treble down a bit and the sound will be more even and use the volume to boost it all

The stock head unit does a terrible job of managing the equalizer. a 35k+ car and you get 4 equalizer settings...

I usually play music from a usb drive, so no phone pre-settings, but I like mine set on "Driver" with just 1-2 bars of bass, 1-2 bars mid, and max treble. I have the Shaker with sub and it's bass heavy to begin with.
