Yes we know and no, there will be no software upgrade however if you have the will you can swap out the entire guts of your infotainment system. Possibly. It's all a bit beyond me and besides sync2 is supposed to be entirely fine.

It's expensive to do for now to. Once there are more sync 3 units around it may become cheaper but will be a while yet

So just to update this a bit i have just been into my ford dealer and reordered my car as i wanted to change the colour to grabber blue (can only be had on MY17 cars) and i have also found out that the sync 3 is supposed to be the new standard equipment for the 2017 mustang, according to the information the has dealer shown me from Ford UK, so it will be interesting to see if this gets updated on the ford website and in the brochures.

I think the car tax will be more dependent on when the car is delivered but other than that yeah

Yeah will have to be registered on or after March 1st 2017 for the cheaper tax.

Popped into my local yesterday, Sync 3 will be included in all future orders, 9 month wait and advised to order around June to qualify for the 2017 tax change, if vehicle arrives early they will hold it for me before registering (will also give £1K deposit back if cancelled), oh, mats and a full tank....

Think mats have always been included, my order sheet says mats and £16.37 fuel (Not sure if they're going to full tank it or not, but we'll see in a month or so .

Sync 3 for all future buyers is a nice touch!
