Sync 2 & 3

Slight confusion about the differences in the systems.

I did a VIN lookup on my car and it lists Sync3.

However it appears to be Sync2.

Anyone have any ideas?

The vin states export models not the same.

When did you order your car, and when was it built?
If it was built after June 2016, it has sync 3.

All VIN lookups state SYNC3 for export models, its wrong info.

I collected my Mustang in January 2016. So explains why I have Sync2.

Another quick way to check.......Sync 3 cars have a small antenna on the roof....Sync 2 cars don't

and sync 3's screen is white, you've deffo got sync 2 though [MENTION=28401]jm51roe[/MENTION] I picked up april '16 and have it.

It's down to at the point ours were made, they were making sync 3'd cars for the US, so it's just a little intercontinental issue on fords side.
