Sway Bar Bolts...One Time Use?

Are the sway bar mount bolts one time use?

I was mounting my Steeda front sway bar and it broke pretty easily. (it's chewed up from vise-grips). Since there was no other hardware with the sway bars I assumed you re-use the old ones.

doubtful. could be a mfg defect. maybe you just need to dial back the badass a bit.

Yeah, I think they're supposed to be 85ftlbs. I hadn't even gotten out the torque wrench yet. I don't think I cross threaded it. I didn't clean the old threadlocker off though and when I ran the tap through I got a little bit of gunk.

I have never broken as many bolts on a car as i have on my mustang (removing). I think its mostly due to the amount of loctite used on the bolts.

I broke the bolt for the cage that goes over the direct injection pump when i did the oil pump gears. That was red loctite so had i known that a little heat would have prevented that. And a few on the suspension. I have started to heat bolts to soften up any loctite at this point if i can do so without damaging anything like melting plastics
