Hopefully, someone can help me out here...

I put in a SYNC2 system from an Escape into my 17 convertible using a harness from Jesse (OEM Radio) and the steering wheel controls are not functional.

Sent Jesse a quick email and he stated that it was a programming issue...

Does anyone know what changes (with ForScan) would need to be done to enable the steering wheel controls?

Would a comparison of As Built Data of the APIM show me what is missing/needs to be changed? Anyone one who has done a base to MFT SYNC 2 swap, could you send me your data for the APIM and ACM?

Thanks in advanced for your help!

I did this kind of swap to a 16 MY Fiesta.

Based on the diagrams, the button switch is wired differently on the base model.
I just had to wire it accordingly (have a look to your diagrams) and it worked just fine.

It could be also a programming issue, feel free to PM me and I'll have a look. (Do you have ForScan?)

I just swapped from MFT to Sync 3 and have the same issue. Was the fix a Forscan solution?
