I am looking into buying a set of SVE R350 wheels. Currently I have a base GT non PP and I know down the line I am going to upgrade the brakes to the GT350 setup.
My initial thought is to purchase the wheels for the GT and add spacers as needed when I go with the GT350 brakes down the line. The rears seem easy enough to where I may need only a 5mm spacer if any at all using the regular Mustang wheels (19x11 +50) instead of the Shelby versions (19x11 +60).
Looking at the offsets for front GT350 version of the R350 wheels with a +20 offset (compared to the regular Mustang 19x10 +35) in the front will push out further on stock brakes, so my question is the brake setup from the face of the hub to the mating face of the rotor 15mm different between the 2 setups or is the offset different for other reasons between the 2 cars? Am I able to use the +35 wheel offset on the GT350 brakes without the wheels sticking past the fenders?
They look to be a very identical as far as the spacing is concerned. I just want to make sure I order the right wheel combo that can work for both base brakes and GT350 brakes. I am considering going with PP 6 piston calipers with 2 pc rotors in the front GT350 rear since that would just require the regular wheels and spacers for the rear. But I can piece together a front Shelby setup cheaper than the PP with aftermarket 2 pc rotors and the ability to go to any dealer to get replacement rotors is also a nice benefit to the Shelby setup.
Thanks in advance for any help!
