I had the FRTP and Steeda camber plates installed this week. The lowered looks good but that's it.
My target camber was Front -2.7 and rear -1.9. I picked my car up and got the sheet from the alignment shop and they got -2.0 up front and -1.8 in the rear. The installer says he sees the issue. The top part of the camber plates were hitting the top of the strut tower so the alignment guy couldn't get the strut to move over.
Did you all have problems like this?

This is the second set of camber plates I've tried and I have had 4 alignments to date.

Guys, I am seriously disappointed. View attachment 377527

it shouldn't need it. The top of the strut is no were near the edge. Its the top of the plates thats rubbing it. The shop stated that they could mill a plate to go above the camber plates and it should allow the strut to slide under it.

Any other mods? I have -2.2 with my BMR plates and the Steeda roll center correction lateral links, which actually limit how much camber you can get.

I think your install guy is not right. My Steeda plates do look like they’re contacting the strut tower underneath, but yet they slide right under there with no issue. Do you have any pics?

Everybody else is getting maximum physically allowed camber by the strut tower opening with these plates. I think the installer is broken.

Do yours look like this? (My tower hole has been opened up, but the bracket part goes underneath)

I know something is up but I don't have much to debate with. I know I paid a pricey chunk to have it done.

Nightmare,
I notice you don't have the top brace like mine. Could that be it?

Edit:

-2.2 deg, but with the different control arms that narrow the track a bit.

I drove it up town yesterday and am noticing a rotating buzz/hum. Sounds like something rubbing the wheel/tire.
All I had installed was the FRTP and camber plates. Suggestions?

FYI
It'll be back in the shop next week to be corrected but want to give them suggestions of what I hear.

I had the shop correct the install and had the alignment done and it drives perfect now. I think it drives better now than it did when new. We'll see how the new camber setting do. :)

Thanks for all the help guys!!
