For some reason the K-brace on our RHD cars is a bit different to the LHD ones. :(
Ah okay I missed that, sorry.

Btw for those wrestling with the idea of cutting the studs to accomodate 20 or 23mm spacers, just have the pockets on the stock wheels drilled out a few mm. The problem is not the length of the studs, the real problem is the pockets in the wheels not being deep enough. There is plenty of beef in the wheels to do this without making them weaker. I had this done last week and my spacers now fit like a glove.

I did see that brace on the other thread but as Slow has pointed out; it fits LHD perfectly as does the Steeda one.

The basic problem is that the K brace is asymmetrical, it rises more steeply (from the tower to the bulkhead) on the drivers side and the strut braces are designed for that - but on LHD cars only. The K brace on RHD cars is a mirror image of the LHD application, but obviously the strut brace is not, it's still a LHD design - hence the slight fouling issue.

The OEM brace can probably cope with a bit of angle grinding to achieve the correct clearance, not sure about the Steeda and others though.

Sounds good, am hoping it is a modification we can make ourselves, I don't mind hacking it a bit if it means it sits correctly on the strut tops. :)

I can't see them continuing to send these braces out to RHD owners with a note at the bottom of the instructions saying "by the way, grind off a 1"x0.5"x0.2" section of the rearmost weld".

Fitting a spacer to clear the K-brace isn't an option either as it raises the brace up too high to be able to fit one of the nuts back on so I would hazard a guess that they're going to have do a re-design with another angle or two added into the bars to clear the K-brace.

Either that or they go the same way as that Schropp one and attach the bar towards the front of the bracket.

Can any UK owners confirm if the black Ford Racing strut fits on a RHD mustang without any modicification? Have seen conflicting reports. I'm in Aus and looking to order one from the states. The silver GT OEM one definitely has to be modified to fit and has been done so by a couple of owners here. Require a few mm to be grinder off on the drivers side.

Front 23mm spacers fit fine, no need to shave/cut the studs or drill the wheel recesses. :)

23mm on the rear however needs some of the stud shaving off, very odd, wheel recesses must be marginally different or the rear studs are a little longer than fronts....

Looking at this photo I'd have to say no, it won't fit without modification - difficult to tell but it looks like the LH side is slightly more shaped than the RH side. I don't know for sure but in all likelihood this is just a black version of the silver OEM part.

On a related but separate topic, I've been trying to get a silver OEM strut brace shipped from the States for about 6 weeks now. I've ordered 2 (on separate occasions) via eBay (Global Shipping Program, so not free delivery) and both times they've made it as far as the Birmingham (UK) depot of Hermes and then promptly vanished. However, and rather frustratingly, neither Hermes, eBay or the Police seem too bothered about the (in all probability) theft that seems to be endemic within these budget parcel delivery organisations. GRRRRRRRRR!
