Love to have one as I hate the fact it was omitted from the Euro Stang but will they not affect insurance if some numpty bounces off your bonnet?

The explosive hinges will launch them back into the air before they hit it too hard

Personally i'd say its more of a moral question. It will reduce the space under the bonnet that the explosive hinges are designed to maximise so its whether or not you believe that could cause a problem.
IMO I don't think the hood struts would affect the hinges to any great extent but the strut brace will definitely reduce the space under the bonnet.
