I am looking at ordering some stripes for my car and am wondering if a beginner can do them easily or if people would recommend going to a professional installer?

If a professional installer is recommended do any of you have recommendations for the Vancouver Wa, Portland Or area? I checked with my window tinting guy but he can only install stripes they make, not ones that I have ordered.

I did my stripes myself after doing research and watching a few videos on youtube. Took me a total of 6 hours and was definitely worth the money I saved from the quotes I got.

i did stripes last weekend. 6 hours is about right maybe less maybe more, but i went real slow.

make sure its clean, real clean. make sure where you have the stripes laying out is also real clean, not on the floor.

measure measure measure and measure.. lay out the strip and tape it down, measure and measure to several points. and then stand back and eyeball things, the center crease in the hood, the rear view mirror mount. the crease in the front bumper..

a cheap heat gun from harbor freight is all you need, but you will need one.

dont stress about bubbles (they go away ive heard), but push down to fast and you get creases and wrinkles, which are harder to get rid of (a little heat helps) slow and steady
