Anyone have any idea what could be causing this weird sound? it's like a tick (I can also feel it when I touch the throttle body) followed by a release of air sound that probably cant be heard on the video, but I hear it when I put my ear right by the throttle body

Edit: this is with the Whipple Stage 1, no upgrades, installed

Have you received the new Whipple tensioner and or plate stands. I may be belt noise from miss alignment issue.

It really doesn't sound like anything from the belt, I did receive the tensioner and stands but have only installed the tensioner as of now. I can also hear a release of air right after the tick, right around the TB, I'm completely stumped as to what it may be. Also I have changed belts with this particular noise still happening

I do hear the click. I would install the Whipple plate with the new stands as one of them at least has been changed. The procedure calls to loosen all lower manifold bolts and then put the plate back on with new stands. Torque the plate first then the upper bolt to the plate and SC then tighten down the lower manifold bolts. This way at least you rule that out. I would also check all the idlers and make sure they are in good order and check the tensioner is adjusted properly. If the noise persists send the video to Whipple tech.

Did this sound occur before you changed to the new tensioner or only after?

I'll be sure to do all that. The sound has been going on for a while, I've just not paid much attention to it since everything looks fine on the readings from the obd port

I had an almost identical noise last summer. It ended up being the evap solenoid. I don't know what made it start clicking but I removed it and had it deleted from the tune and noise was gone.

Do you know if it's harmful at all to the engine or any components? I don't mind the noise but hoping it doesn't do any long-term harm
