Hi folks
I have GT MY2019 EUR version (bought new), 35k miles driven so far, and I change my tyres every season. Summer tyres are pilot sport 4s which came with a car. Last time I changed from summer to winter in November 2021 the mechanic said my summer fron tyres are damaged and have to be replaced (he didn't want to sell me new ones, so I consider his advise legit). Then he showed me the issue - both of the front tyres have inner edge uneven. It's not nice and curvy but it became many upper and lower segments. Hard to describe it but it looks like in computer graphics when you zoom in on 3D ball or circles you will see it's actually many small straigt lines which looks like a circle. Or, maybe it's better to visualise, when I look from the side of a tyre it looks like the inner edge is continuous line of hills and valleys. I attached some photos. The tangible effect of this phenomenon is mostly noticable when I stop slowly (parking, approching the junction etc.) then I hear deep sound (sounds like woof, woof, woof) with every wheel rotation, like the tyre rubs agains something. Nothing happens during higher speeds. After change to winter ones this sound went away. What can cause that? Dealership took a look and said suspension is fine, geometry was off but just a little bit. Can this happen because of wrong wheel balancing during the previous tyre change? Or maybe it's magnaride problem? Rear tyres are all good.
