Stock headgasket limit

Does anyone know the hp limit on stock gen2 headgaskets tryn to put my built sleeved engine together for tx2k but cometic gaskets are like 3 weeks out someone one told me slap stock ones they'll hold up but not sure

Have a friend who was lifting heads on 25 psi (gen 2). Switched to cometic MLX and hasn't had issues since.

I think you could probably run 25 on stock gaskets if you had the 12mm setup, but part of your limitation is going to be the 11 mm studs.

Sounds like you're pressed to make the event, but if you push the issue, you could end up nuking something spendy. He was lucky he recognized right away before it smoked pistons or rods with coolant crossing. I think the cometic does a better job allowing for deflections at high boost.

I ordered a set through orielys but wont be in till the 22nd I figured i could find someone that has a set for sale but nothing ,might jst have to wait till then ,n yes one of my buddy's said the same thing he's like 23psi on stock gaskets jst studs n said it would hold up buT I dnt wana risk it

Well the stock hp record for the 2nd gen is over 1200whp so if everything is working correctly then your fine. Especially if you have head studs
