From my perspective, fwiw on a NA car, the 1 piece aluminum driveshaft DID make a notable difference. Even NA, the car is much more responsive and accelerates faster (butt meter).

Now, here’s the funky part - https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/vibrations-between-40-50mph.224090/post-4417065

I have found the DS vibes to be an issue with the way Ford balances the factory DS with the pinion flange. If going aftermarket and you get vibes, you may need to take the pinion flange out and have it balanced as a unit with the aftermarket DS.

I am installing a barton shifter and RST clutch next week, since Ill have the transmission down, I am wondering if I should replace the driveshaft? I am conservatively boosting it in the spring, ESS G3 115mm, hoping to break 700 to the wheel.

The one piece drive shafts seem to get mixed reviews. I figured I would get one while I had everything out and take it to a shop to double check its in balance, but then I thought what's the point if the stock can handle it. Maybe just a safety loop and call it a day? I understand less rotating mass, but I see a lot of people installing these and then ending up with serious vibrations, NVH, and I just don't know if its worth the hassle.
I've still got the factory drive shaft on my procharged 18 auto making 860rwhp. I drag it a lot with sticky rubber and it handles it OK. I have snapped a half shaft tho. I looked at getting a light weight replacement but was worried about vibration and NVH as it's still a street car.
