I have a 14" V6 Premium and have been thinking of changing the wheels and keeping it or trading it up to the GT. I love the color I have which is Magnetic and built the car I would love to buy. The car I built has the black wheels. I've always thought they would be a pain to keep clean and damage free. I was wondering if you would recommend the black wheels and what you use to protect them from scratches. The black wheels look great with the magnetic paint but I'm concerned with the maintenance.

I have the Black Appearance Package wheels. I have no issues keeping them clean, but my car is only a fair weather driver, parked indoors. I would suggest applying a wax on the wheels right away, and washing the car/wheels regularly. As for scratches, nothing you can do aside from being careful when parking not to curb them.

Life's too short to concern yourself with stuff like that.

black wheels are easy to touch up, too.

Cleaning the black PP wheels 20 odd spokes was a real pain. Too many tight corners to get a sponge into.

Glad to have aftermarket wheels with 7 spokes now.
