Hello All,

Wanted to get opinions from folks who upgraded their steering wheels to the GT350 steering wheels.

Especially the folks who have had theirs on for a little while now.

How has the Alcantara held up?

I have read how after a while, it tends to wear out.

I expect it to hold up pretty well. I put a Boss302 steering wheel (all Alcantara) in my 2011 as soon as they came out and it was almost like new when I sold it in March.

My GT350 wheel in my 2016 still looks new but its only 5-6 months old.

I never eat or drink in my cars or drive with dirty hands but neither of those should cause wear just soiling. And since its a synthetic material designed for this purpose and, based on other forum posts, there are good cleaners. I've never needed them though so can't comment on if the cleaners deteriorate the Alcantara over time.

But even if they only lasted a few years, I'd still gladly keep replacing them because I like it so much better than leather. Fortunately, it doesn't look like I'll have to.

That sounds great.

Good to hear that they hold up.

I've had mine on for a year (daily driver) and it still looks new. The leather on it is better quality as well.

I use this stuff on it about once a month...

Have a GT350 steering wheel on my DD for about 10 months now, still looks like new. I just run a vac with a brush attach over the alcantara once a month or so to get the dust out then wipe it down with a damp cloth. Easy.

I have had mine close to a year now. I wipe it down with a damp cloth about one a month and it still looks like new. It's great!

I just wish the spots where your hands sit, about 10 & 2 were matching leather and
it was a lil thicker overall.
