Hi All,
Does anyone have this issues or has had this issue in the past?
I have heard of it, but there isn’t really much info on why this could happen
Fault Code Present and Coming from Body Control Module (BCM) on my 2017 Mustang Shelby GT350 is:
B1026:87-0A (Steering Column Lock)
Funny Part is my Gt350 doesn’t have Enhanced Security Package, so therefore there’s no Steering Column Lock, but still I’m getting this error.
Car will not Crank up or even attempt to turn the engine over. Only thing you can hear is a loud clicking noise from the (BCM) and that’s it.
What i have attempted:
Replaced the OEM Battery i put a brand new one in, 96R Group 590 CCA.
Checked all fuses and connections on bcm and pcm they all seem fine as well as relays.
Performed a Battery Recognition Test or Battery Module Reset so it detects the New battery.
General reset to each module on board and cleared all dtc’s stored.
ALL I HAVE GOTTEN IS NO START.
Here is aLink to an Official NTHSA opened for this issue for 2020 Ford Mustang:
